Ahead of The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA) opening in 2019, hotel management company, RBH has appointed Mark Leyland as General Manager of its two new hotels on the site.
Leyland, who started his management career as Food and Beverage Manager for the Aberdeen Marriott Hotel in 2003, will manage Hilton Aberdeen TECA and Aloft Aberdeen TECA.
With eight years of experience as a General Manager, he has held previous posts with York Marriott Hotel, Portsmouth Marriott Hotel and the Skopje Marriott hotel in Macedonia.
Hilton Aberdeen TECA will offer 200 bedrooms and seven meeting rooms.
The 150-bedroom Aloft Aberdeen TECA will target next generation travellers with ‘tech-forward’ amenities, live music and urban-style interiors.
Aloft Aberdeen TECA will be located next door to the new event complex, while Hilton Aberdeen TECA will adjoin the new conference centre currently under construction.
